
Elisa Desbordes-Cisse has led communications and policy messages of 20 high-level events. She has organized over 10 media workshops to build the capacities of 200+ journalists (French/ English). She has engaged extensively in outreach and advocacy vis-à-vis 5 Heads of State, 20 Ministers, the African Union Commission, think tanks, and senior representatives and influencers of civil society organizations. She has also worked for the African Development Bank Group, African Media Initiative, and The ONE Campaign among other organizations.
Elisa has extensive experience in developing and implementing communication strategies, including digital and social media strategies and communication for resource mobilization purposes. She has designed brand communications and awareness campaigns. She has negotiated media partnerships and established long-lasting media partnerships over the years.
Elisa has a Master’s degree in Political Science and Intercultural Management from the Institut d’études politiques d’Aix-en-Provence in France and a Magistra Artium in History and Sociology (equivalent of Master) from Universität Bielefeldin Germany.
